It would seem that a photographer's excellence is defined by his or her ability to photograph dead deer. Certainly an intriguing category of focus, this photograph resembles many of the works exhibited in the series "The Deerslayers" by Les Krims. One of Krims' more literal bodies of work, he documented in that series American hunters posing with their catches. The following image is from that series:

This blog has been in the premature stages of formation for some time. The moment for it to break free from my mental world into the noosphere (or, more correctly the blogosphere) came after I found a link to download an early obscure Deerhunter album entitled (you guessed it) Unrequited Narcissist. I cannot say whether the moniker is necessarily indicitave of my own personality (you be the judge), but it is not my intent for this blog to be about me. Rather, it should be seen as an attempt to spread internet memes along to an audience who might otherwise be left out of this cool-hunting process. I cannot guarantee that what I pass along will be something I found myself, but the concept of ownership has proven to be somewhat obsolete in the age of the internet (I grapple with this often when I realize how much music I consume free of charge with this broadband connection). I must return to the point. You see, my goal is, through this blog, to seek out innovative and inspiring persons within the realms of art and music, mostly for my own sake. In past endeavors to connect with the blogosphere, I have always ended up disappointed at the limited audience (read as zero) I reached. This was, of course, a testament to the interestingness of my former blogs (none...they were more like diaries...and I cannot claim to have some overly interesting or unique life). For this reason, I am focusing on the magnificence of others. This will have to wait, for now, because the clock dictates that I rest my body. Hopefully you are as excited about this endeavor as am I.
